The only one I can vividly remember now is the last one under former President Olusegun Obasanjo which eventually landed us in the third term agenda. At that time if you remember they came out with almost 117 agenda and the only one that Nigerians got to know eventually was the third term agenda, but I wouldn’t know if we have learnt from that, so I just want this President to allow Nigerians contribute their quota and the outcome of this conference should bring the desired peace in the nation.

There is no doubt,we need divine intervention in Nigeria...Keep the good work you are doing APF
ReplyDeleteI have been following the advance progressive forum website. The forum is very educating and realistic about our nations present situation and I wish our leaders even have the little time to read positive things like asides what their dog advisers give to them which makes them mess up. They need neutral Nigerian voices like is forum and not those gossip social media which never tells them the truth but parties. Good luck Nigeria!! Well done APF!!!
ReplyDeleteBut don't we have groups like this in Nigeria that can work or advise our decision makers on a neutral level asides the regular cabinets. This way they can air different views bth within and outside their cabinets. I think
ReplyDeleteThe truth must be always be said about the unity of this country. It is just unfortunate that we have leaders who never had good intention for this country but all they pursue is selfishness and enriching themselves and their family. We need to sit together to discuss our living together as multi-ethnic nation and fashioned out the way forward.
ReplyDeleteThanks the initiator of this idea and group...Well Done !
Am still wondering why some people are against the National conference because we should not deceive ourself,we need to discuss the future of this country. This interview has nailed the major points and problems of this country.Groups like this should be heard.Good job.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the view that the presidential system of government as been practised in Nigeria has caused more harm than good to the people. I also believe that what the national conference should agree upon is the parliamentary system of government as it was practised in the 'first republic', where autonomy was given to the regimes to control their resources by 80% and then pay 20% back to the centres so that the regions can be well developed and Nigerians can begin to enjoy the dividends of democracy. APF, I support your view on this discussion. Good Job and keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteThe so called National conference is good to pursue our existence living together but my own fear is,the politicians may eventually hijack the process because the handwritting is on the wall already.May God bless Nigeria
